“I'm not running to be a Senator, I'm running to be the voice of Senate District 20.”
As a country and as a State, we have all been through a lot recently. Not only did Covid-19 expose a vulnerability in our Pandemic and Emergency response preparedness, it exposed an even deeper vulnerability in the fabric of our democracy that we can only fix once we remember who we are. We are neighbors, friends, teachers, small business owners, pastors, mentors. People. We are all people. We all want a first class education for our children, clean water to drink and irrigate our fertile farm lands. We want a strong police force the utilizes the authority given to them by the people, to deliver justice fairly based facts not fear. We want to be able to believe that every decision our elected officials make, is for the advancement of the constituents they serve, not the special interest that serves them. We are a state that recognizes the sacrifices that our soldiers make and we support them when they need us the most. Floridians understand that we are only as strong as the most vulnerable around us. Remember who we are and lets reach across the isle to overcome who we are not.
